ISLAMABAD: The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on Thursday directed the National Accountability Bureau and Federal Investigation Agency to seize the financial records of Nadra Technologies Limited (NTL) of the last 15 years.

A meeting of the PAC, chaired by MNA Noor Alam Khan, was informed that NTL had been denying the Ministry of Interior and the office of the Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP) access to its financial documents.

“Under the Constitution, all government departments are bound to have their accounts audited by the AGP office,” Mr Khan said while ordering an inquiry into the matter.

He also directed Interior Secretary Syed Ali Murtaza to suspend all board members of NTL until inquiries into the company’s financial details were completed. NTL is a commercial interface for the Nadra. It provides a variety of products an services to national and international clients.

The PAC also directed the Capital Development Authority chairman to ensure housing societies did not demand development charges under

various heads until the developers handed over the possession of lands to the allottees.
