ISLAMABAD: An man allegedly murdered his nephew over a family dispute, police said on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Hayat Khan a native of Jalalabad, Afghanistan. The police said that some motorcycle riders attacked Khan at a ground in the area of I-12 and opened fire at him. As a result, he sustained six bullets while the attackers escaped from the spot, they added.

Later, the injured was shifted to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, they added.

Khan’s father, Ajab Khan, who lives in the area of I-12 with his family told police that one of his relatives told him about the incident, the police said, adding that in response he rushed to the hospital.

Recently, Ajab Khan and his brother developed some differences over family issues and later the brother along with his family left from the house and moved into the house of relatives with whom Khan had a dispute.

Ajab Khan alleged that relatives provoked his brother to kill his son and provided them with a pistol, the police said, adding later his brother attacked and killed his son Hayat Khan in front of his other son and escaped. He further alleged that his relatives provided shelter to his brother after the murder, they said, adding that a murder case was registered and police were for the suspect.
