QUETTA, Jan 25: The government has decided to increase the strength of law-enforcement agencies for protecting railway lines, bridges and tunnels. Chief Minister Jam Yousuf and Railways Minister Shamim Haider attended a high-level meeting held here on Wednesday to review steps taken for safety of railway lines on the Sibi-Harnai, Quetta-Taftan and Quetta-Sibi sections.
The meeting decided that additional police would be deployed at railway stations and advanced equipment would be provided to the Frontier Constabulary, Frontier Corps and Levies. The meeting decided that passenger trains on the Quetta-Sibi section would run during day time.
