LAHORE: Two-day long Sufi Festival titled, Prem Dey Dhagay, being organised by the Punjab Council of the Arts kicked off at Alhamra Art Centre, Mall Road, on Saturday.

The first day of the festival featured a conference titled, Punjabi Sufi Fikar Di Aaj Naal Jurat. The first session was conducted by Afzaal Sahir. The panelists were Dr Taimur Rehman, Nain Sukh, Aamir Riaz, Iqbal Qaiser and Yousaf Punjabi. A musical evening was also organised at the festival with the singers, including Kalay Khan, Mohsin Fayyaz, Wahdat Rameez and Fayyaz Group.

On Sunday (today) another session of the conference will be held. The inaugural session will be moderated by Dr Fatima Fayyaz. The panelists will be Moeen Nizami, Dr Waqar Yousaf, Baba Irfanul Haq and Tahir Raza Bukhari.

On the second day of the festival too, Sufi singing session will be held. The singers will be Akbar Ali, Chand and Suraj, Tariq and Raheela, Dr Taimur Rehman and Tehseen Sakina. A book fair is also a part of the festival.
