CHARSADDA: Nurses at the District Headquarters Hospital, Charsadda, boycotted duties at all wards except emergency against the ‘maltreatment’ of a colleague by deputy medical superintendent Dr Isa Khan.

The protesting alleged Mr Khan ‘misbehaved’ with a staff nurse on duty and also marked her absent. They said a male nurse was also manhandled by policemen accompanying Mr Khan.

They threatened to extend the strike to other hospitals if action was not taken against the officer.
