LARKANA: A man shot dead his elderly mother-in-law in Mitha Colony near Warah town over a domestic issue on Wednesday.

Police sources said that Akhtiar Chandio broke into the house of his in-laws and opened indiscriminate fire on the inmates killing his 60-year-old mother-in-law Iqbal Khatoon Kumbhar and injuring six-year-old girl named Murk. He fled easily after committing the crime.

The dead body was shifted to Warah taluka headquarter hospital while the wounded girl was transported to Chandka Medical College Hospital where her condition was stated to be stable. Police were investigating to ascertain actual motive behind the murder.
