Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has termed the violence in the country on May 9 on army installations as a “9/11 type” attack on Pakistan’s national interests.

In an interview with the APP, Iqbal further said: “The May 9 incident for Pakistan’s Armed Forces was equivalent to [9/11] of America. The violent workers of a political party attacked Pakistan’s heritage and the pride of the security departments.

“Jinnah House was not only the residence of a Corps Commande, rather a heritage of the founder of the country,” he observed.
