GUJRANWALA, Jan 22: A Lahore High Court bailiff raided the Garjakh police station on Saturday and recovered a man detained there without registration of any case against him. While court directed the DPO to take action against police officials concerned for keeping an innocent person in illegal confinement.
Reports said that police had taken victim Farooq into custody for his alleged involvement in a murder case a few days ago and detained him in the police station. Heirs of the victim had moved the high court for his recovery.—Correspondent
