Regular job for N.A. doctors

Published January 23, 2006

GILGIT, Jan 22: The federal government has regularized the services of all doctors employed by the health department on contract, official sources said. Sources said that all doctors had been regularized with immediate effect and a notification had been issued in this regard.

The Doctors Association (DA) expressed gratitude to the government and said that its friendly policies had won people’s hearts in the Northern Areas.

“By regularizing the contracts of doctors, the government has shown that its policies are public-friendly,” the association said in a statement issued here.
