PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that attempts were made to arrest him by the police in Islamabad.

In a video message shared on Twitter, he said: “They were successful in arresting Asad Umar sahib but I escaped by going inside the court […] I am now at a safe location and am recording my message.”

Addressing PTI supporters and activists, he said peaceful demonstrations should be recorded across the country. Qureshi also urged the people in Islamabad to protest outside the Police Lines in G-11, where he claimed Imran Khan had been “illegally held”.
