LAHORE: Pakistan’s Syed Yashal Shah fired a two-under 69 to be shot off the lead after the opening round of the Faldo Series Asia Grand Final, which teed off at the Laguna Lang Co Golf Club in the Vietnamese district of Phu Loc on Wednesday.

According to information released by the Pakistan Golf Federation, Vietnam’s Nguen Minh was at the top of the leaderboard with Yashal in close pursuit.

Vietnam’s Le Khanh and Issac Lan of Hong Kong returned cards of 70 with a trio of Pakistan golfers — Saad Habib, Omar Khalid and Nouman Ilyas — on 76.In the girls’ contest, Parkha Ijaz of Pakistan shot a 75.
