KARACHI, Jan 18: Sindh Health Secretary Prof Naushad A. Shaikh has stressed need for optimum utilization of health care infrastructure and facilities available in government sector across the province.

Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, he said that the government was committed to appreciate public-private partnership to make all facilities fully operational.

Referring to the 28th Asia Pacific Dental Congress scheduled for Feb 23 to 27, he said that the international moot would not only enhance the prestige of the province as well as that of the country but would also be a source of creating public awareness regarding importance of prevention.

Prof Naushad Shaikh said that public awareness was extremely essential as without it many of significant health care initiatives could not take shape. He urged media to play its role in sensitizing people about the importance of oral health.

He assured all support for making the event a great success. —APP
