Training camps resume

ISLAMABAD, Jan 17: The national training camps for the March 15-26 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne (Australia), and Aug 17-27 South Asian Games in Colombo, Sri Lanka resumed in different cities simultaneously on Tuesday after 10-day Eid holidays.

The camps for weightlifting, squash, table tennis and swimming have been set up in the city. The hockey camp will commence here from Feb 1.

Boxing and shooting camps are on in Karachi and that of cycling in Lahore. Women swimmers are training in Lahore and Karachi.

The weightlifting and kabaddi camps may soon be shifted to Peshawar.—APP
