MUZAFFARGARH: Police claim to have arrested a man for alleged rape of a six-year-old girl here on Tuesday near Shah Jamal in Babr locality, some 30 kilometers from the city.

The girl’s father told the police that his daughter came back home from school and went missing in the afternoon. He said after a search, he found that the suspect was raping her at his cattle shed.

He said the girl turned unconscious and he shifted her to Shah Jamal Rural Health Centre. Later, Shah Jamal police registered a case against the suspect and arrested him. The case was registered under section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

FLOUR POINTS: Deputy Commissioner Salman Khan Lodhi along with Assistant Commissioner Muzaffargarh Nasir Shahzad Dogar visited free flour points established in Basira, Shah Jamal and Tehsil Jatoi and distributed flour under his supervision.

The deputy commissioner said verification process of the families registered at the free flour points has been expedited. He said 1,525,287 free flour bags have been distributed so far.
