Man shot dead

TAXILA: One person was shot dead while another was injured in two different incidents in the jurisdictions of Taxila and Wah police stations respectively, according to police and rescue sources.

In the first incident, a dumper driver was killed over an old enmity in Bhallar village in day broad light. Police said that Aabid Shah was shot dead and the suspect managed to escape from the spot. Police, while quoting the family of the victim, attributed the cold blooded murder to an old enmity.

Meanwhile, a motorcyclist lost his limb after he was hit by a dumper on GT road near Wah Model town area in the jurisdiction of Wah Saddar police station.

Police and rescue sources said that 18-year-old Haider Ilyas was on his motorcycle when the accident happened. He was moved to Holy Family Hospital (HFH) Rawalpindi in critical condition.

Respective police registered two separate cases and launched further investigation.
