LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Usman Dar on Monday appeared before the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) and recorded his statement in the inquiry to award contracts to his favourites.

Mr Dar and his two brothers also submitted details of their assets and bank accounts to the ACE.

Mr Dar is accused of awarding contracts to his favourites in the Public Health Engineering Department, the Metropolitan Corporation Lahore and the district government. The ACE has already arrested PHED Sub-Divisional Officer Jehangir Butt in this probe.

Meanwhile, the ACE summoned former MPA Faisal Niazi for March 29 in a corruption probe.

According to the ACE, former PTI MNA Aamir Dogar used political influence to build a park on a private housing society with the government funds.

Dogar constructed a park with government money in Gulshan Mehr Colony, Multan and named it after his uncle Shaukat Dogar.

“Aamir Dogar put pressure on the PHA officers to build a park. Faisal Niazi is Dogar’s front man in various projects in Khanewal. Faisal Niazi committed corruption in the construction of a road project,” the ACE alleged.
