KARACHI: The Sindh School Education and Literacy Department announced the Ramazan timings for all public and private educational institutions on Wednesday.

According to a notification issued by the department, all primary schools are to start at 7.30am and finish at 11.30am.

For Fridays, the primary schools will start at the same time of 7.30am but finish one hour earlier at 10.30am.

Primary schools that function on double shifts are to have their second shift start at 11.45am and finish at 2.45pm on regular days. And on Fridays, the second shift is to start for them at 10.45am to finish at 1.15pm.

For secondary, higher secondary or elementary schools, the regular timings from Monday to Thursday are 7.30am to 12pm. For institutions operating on a double shift, it is 7.30am to 11.30am for the first shift and from 11.45am to 2.45pm for the second shift.

These timings for Ramazan are in continuation of the department’s notification also issued last year on March 31, 2022. On Fridays, the single shift, secondary, higher secondary or elementary schools will observe the regular time of 7.30am to 11am.
