PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa former chief secretary Major retired Naeem Khan passed away here on Tuesday.
His funeral prayers will be offered at 11am on Wednesday (today) at his ancestral Khairabad village in Mardan district.
Born in the village of Khairabad in Mardan, he was the eldest son of retired Brigadier Mahboob Khan. Before joining civil service, he had served in Pak Army by joining FF Regiment as Second Lieutenant in 1966.
During his long and distinguished career as a civil servant, he served on various important positions like DC Quetta, political agent Zhob, commissioner Malakand, Kohat and Peshawar divisions before being posted as home secretary KP.
He is survived by a widow, two sons and a daughter.
