PESHAWAR, Jan 15: Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industries (SCCI) president Ghazanfar Bilour has asked the sales tax department to mke refunds to traders making exports to Afghanistan. In a statement issued here on Sunday, the SCCI president appealed to the Central Board of Revenue chairman to ask the department concerned to make payment to exporters.

He pointed out that the delay in refund was affecting the exports to Afghanistan.

He said the NWFP business community, which had been short of resources, had promoted trade with Afghanistan and was also contributing to its reconstruction. He said the continuing delay in refund of amount to exporters would benefit other countries trying to capture the Afghan market.
