ISLAMABAD: Pakis­tan’s female team bagged the Under-14 trophy of the 25th Kensho International Open Karate Champ­ions­hip being held at the Galle Sports Complex, Sri Lanka.

Apart from Pakistan, the championship featured tea­ms from hosts Sri Lan­ka, Japan, Germany and India.

Pakistan secured three gold and one silver medal in the championship. The gold medallists include An­a­hita Fatima, Aiyana Noel, Ayra Adil while Zeh­ab Ghaz­anfar clinched silver.

Kumite Anahita Fatima, Aiyana Noel and Ayra Adil bagged gold medals in 40kg, 35kg and 20kg, respe­c­tively while Anahita Fatima downed her opponent in just 20 seconds.

Moreover, male karateka Kumite Zehab Ghaz­anfar secured silver medal in 35kg.
