ISLAMABAD: A judicial magistrate of the FIA on Monday extended the physical remand of Shoaib Sheikh, chief executive of BOL News and software company Axact, in a case pertaining to allegedly bribing a judge for acquittal in the fake degrees’ scam.

The FIA had sought six-day physical remand of Mr Sheikh after the expiry of his three-day remand. The special prosecutor of FIA said Mr Sheikh had confessed to have transferred Rs1.5million in the account of a judge and the investigation officer was required to obtain relevant record from the bank.
