KARACHI, Jan 16: Eight ships carrying palm oil and to load fresh fruits and molasses are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where about a dozen ships mainly container vessels were berthed. They are: Mastery to offload palm oil, Norshria-2, to offload vehicles and Irene to unload urea, Rickmers Dubai, to unload and load general cargo, Energy, Hyundai Advance, Marcala Baria, APL Orchid, Kota Teguh and Kota Wajar to unload and load containers.

Four ships, Energy, Hyundai Advance, Rickmers Dubai and Shalamar departed, while Marcala Baria, Mastery, Eax Sanctity, Spar Virgo, Kota Wajar and Kota Teguh are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.108m tons comprising 23,903 tons of export cargo and 84,224 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Golden Glory, with chemical, Oriental Orchid, to load ethanol, Swat, to offload crude oil, Zaabeel, with palm oil, Corin Thaikos, with containers, Jo Birk, to load molasses, Katty Zelenko, with general cargo, Orionis, to load 150 tons of fresh fruits and Captain George Tsangaris, with steel coils.
