KARACHI: Pakistan’s wheelchair tennis team returned home on Sunday after participating in the BNP Paribas World Team Cup Asia/Oceania qualification.

Team Pakistan were unable to secure even a single victory in the tournament.

The team’s last match was against China, where they suffered a defeat at the hands of their Chinese counterparts at the Pattaya Greta Sports club. Fida Hussain was defeated by China’s Jinhui Ding 1-6, 0-6 in the men’s singles match while Asif Abbasi was also unable to secure a win in his match against Xiomin Feng as he lost with a score of 0-6, 3-6.

In the doubles match, Asif and Fida paired up and again were outclassed 0-6, 0-6 by the duo of Ding and Feng.

Pakistan’s wheelchair tennis team failed to win a single set throughout the entire tournament.
