QUETTA, Jan 13: Khuzdar town was rocked on Saturday night by two powerful bomb blasts targeting Pakistan Telecommunication Company buildings. According to police, the first explosion took place behind the PTCL customer service centre, spreading panic in the town.

The second blast was reported from near the main building of the PTCL office and telephone exchange after half an hour.

However, no casualty or other serious damage was reported in both the explosions. Windows and windowpanes of the both buildings and nearby houses were smashed.

“Local made devices were used in both the blasts,” a senior police officer of Khuzdar district said.

According to reports, another blast occurred under a small bridge on the Quetta-Karachi highway, eight kilometres from Wadh, the other day.

A part of the bridge was damaged in the blast and vehicular traffic was suspended for some time and later restored through a diversion, sources said.
