RAWALPINDI: A man and his son were gunned down on Girja Road on Wednesday.

Police identified the deceased as Mohammad Riasat and his son Khyzir Mehmood. The bodies were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital for postmortem. Shortly after the incident, SP Saddar Division reached the spot along with police personnel and started investigation.

According to the initial investigation, the incident happened when the man and his son were leaving for workplace in their car.

The alleged killers, riding on a motorcycle, appeared on the scene and opened fire, instantly killing both. Police said the incident was an outcome of old enmity.
