KARACHI, Jan 13: Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limited (PTCL) has denied that contract employees of PTCL are being laid off.

In a statement issued here on Friday, the spokesman clarified that neither Etisalat had demanded layoff of employees nor PTCL management had any such intentions. “PTCL management has already guaranteed (job) security to its employees”, he added.

The spokesman said all matters had been settled with the Etisalat and it would soon assume control of administrative affairs of PTCL that would not only provide better services to customers, but would also be beneficial for employees.—PPI
