GUJRAT: Jhelum chief executive officer health Dr Mian Mazhar has suspended the entire staff of the Bhattia Basic Health Unit for negligence after a new-born was burnt due to the increased temperature of baby warmer.
Official sources said a BHU staff nurse put the new born into the warmer but forgot to adjust its thermostat due to which her back was badly burnt.
The baby was later shifted to the Jhelum DHQ hospital where she was under treatment.
Dr Mazhar also initiated a departmental inquiry under the Peeda Act against the BHU staff.
