KARACHI: Rear Admiral Mohammed Faisal Abbasi has assumed the command of Pakistan Fleet as ComPak during a change of command ceremony held here on Monday.

Rear Admiral Abbasi is a graduate of the Pakistan Navy War College, Lahore, and the National Defence University, Islamabad. He has an illustrious naval career with vast experience in various command and staff appointments.

In recognition of his meritorious services, he was awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz (military) and Hilal-i-Imtiaz (military).

Vice Admiral Ovais Ahmed Bilgrami handed over the command to the newly appointed Commander Pakistan Fleet.
