SOME QUESTIONS: This is with reference to the article ‘Our Latin American slide’ (Jan 29) which was about criticising the intrusive role of the United States in global politics, particularly its role in Pakistan. If the current opposition itself has backed out on its stance regarding US involvement in its removal from office, what is the writer’s source of information regarding American role in the change of government in Pakistan? Besides, if the US needs a pliant political system, in which sense the previous government was not pliant enough, what major progress was made on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) during its tenure?

INTERVIEW LETTERS: The test for the posts of Assistant Junior Clerk and Stenotypist were conducted in November last year. The successful candidates are now being asked to collect their interview call letters from Karachi, which is far away from their respective hometowns. Why can they not be delivered to the candidates’ residential addresses?

SCHOOLS IN SINDH: The School Education and Literacy Department (SELD) in Sindh appears least interested in improving the infrastructure and facilities of schools and increasing the enrolment rate, especially in rural areas. The facilities in schools are inadequate and unsatisfactory. There are hardly any chairs, even for teachers, in most schools. Lack of sanitation and the absence of potable water are mere parts of school life in rural Sindh.
