RYK bar body elected

RAHIM YAR KHAN, Jan 8: Chaudhry Khalid Hashmat of the Mumtaz Mustafa group was elected as the District Bar Association president with a wide margin of 125 votes. Khalid Hashmat obtained 276 votes while his opponent Malik Hasnain Ahmed Aheer could get 151 votes. Tariq Hameed was elected as vice-president by getting 288 votes while his opponent Mir Karamullah Khan Agha could obtain 128 votes.

Mirza Bilal Baig has been elected as secretary-general, Zubair Ahmed Warind joint secretary and Malik Ijaz Bohar library secretary. While Asif Warraich was elected unopposed finance secretary and Khalid Ditta auditor. — Correspondent
