NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Jan 8: Five members of a family were killed and two others were injured by armed people over an old enmity in the Ashraf Rind village here on Sunday morning. Ameer Bux Rind and nine unidentified men allegedly entered the house of Mohammad Hassan Rind and opened fire at inmates, killing Hassan Rind, 50, his son, Mohammad Ismail, 5, Ashiq Ali, 4, Hajiani, 55, and Inayat Khatoon, and injuring Jeeji and Abdul Rahim.

The accused Ameer Bux is said to be a brother of police head constable Sarwar Rind, who had been killed at the Naushahro Feroze district court gate some time ago. Later, a brother of Sarwar had allegedly killed Abdul Hadi and Mohammad Ibrahim. The two groups are close relatives.

No FIR was lodged till the filling of this report.
