OKARA: A two-year-old boy was killed while his father and another motorcycle rider suffered injuries when their two-wheeler struck a pedestrian crossing GT Road near Pul Jurian.

Rescue 1122 said Waryam Ali, his minor son, Ihsaan, and Shafqat were riding a motorcycle on GT Road when the two-wheeler hit a pedestrian. They all fell, and Ihsaan was killed while Waryam and Shafqat were injured.

Rescue 1122 shifted the body and the injured people to the Akhtarabad Rural Health Centre.

RAPE ATTEMPT: Ten suspects, five of whom were named, allegedly attempted to rape a woman and her daughter while robbing them of gold jewellery in village 54/2L.

The complainant said she and her daughter were out of the house when the suspects broke the locks of the house. When locals informed her, she and her daughter arrived at her house.

The intruders claimed they wanted to teach them a lesson for past litigation and police applications, and attempted to rape them.

When the locals intervened, the suspects fled after taking away gold ornaments worth Rs500,000.

The Saddar police registered a case under sections 448, 376, 511, 148, and 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

MISSING: A young man went missing on GT Road near 4/L bypass.

The police said Ali Raza and his friend Ali Sarwar from village 18/4L were on their way to the village, but near 4/L, Ali asked Sarwar to go back to 4/L Disty Bridge, where he had left some items. When Sarwar returned, he found Raza missing, and his mobile phone was also off.

Ali’s brother Ahsan Raza got a kidnap case registered at the Saddar police station against unidentified suspects.
