LAHORE: A white coat ceremony was held at the Fatima Jinnah Medical University (FJMU) here on Wednesday.

The FJMU vice chancellor and teachers welcomed the FMU freshwomen in white coats.

Prof Khalid Masood Gondal and FJMC Principal Prof Noreen Akmal welcomed the participants and briefed them about the historic college and its traditions.

Prof Gondal said that 100 per cent of the funding would be provided to needy students in the institution.

The 550-bed Thalassemia Prevention Centre for Mothers, he said, was housed in the facility. Similarly, the Fatima Jinnah Institute of Mother and Child Health has been operationalised under the auspices of FJMU, with four super specialities available.
