On arrival in the office, senior staff members briefed the RPO on various issues

Like his predecessors, the RPO vowed to combat criminal elements and preserve supremacy of law and merit.

He told the officials that according to the responsibilities assigned to them, they should perform their duties in a professional manner.

Criminal elements will be cracked down under the best and effective strategy and special measures will be taken to further improve public service delivery, he added.

The Punjab government on Friday transferred RPO Nasir Mahmood Satti and directed him to report to the Services and General Administration Department.

Mr Shah was serving as the regional police officer D.G. Khan.

He had also been a member of the Joint Investigation Team constituted to probe the attack on PTI Chairman Imran Khan in Wazirabad.
