TOBA TEK SINGH: The lumberdar of Chak 363-JB was murdered in Gojra on Tuesday.

Witnesses say Rana Tehzeeb Ali Khan was wounded in a drive-by shooting while he was travelling by a car on Tehsil Road near a girls high school.

He was taken to the Gojra THQ hospital where he later passed away from his wounds.

A police official said the victim’s rivals may have been the murderers.

The Gojra city police registered a case against two unidentified bikers on the complaint of his younger brother, Rana Taimoor Anwar.

RAPE: A man allegedly raped a minor girl in the Massin police area of Chak Saliana Bela Ahmad Ali Wala on Tuesday.

The complainant informed police that his nine-year-old daughter was returning from school when the suspect of the same locality took her to a sugarcane field and raped her.

Police were conducting raids to arrest the suspect.

Also, a woman was kidnapped from Gojra Chak 349-JB.

According to the Gojra Saddar police, complainant Imtiaz Rasool said his daughter Natasha was kidnapped by Aftab Ahmad, Muhammad Arshad and Saqlain Ali in a car.

The police were conducting raids to arrest the suspects.

SUICIDE ATTEMPT: A woman shot herself when she learned that her husband had contracted a second marriage in Gojra on Tuesday night.

Police said Abdul Waheed Chaand of Gojra Chak 310-JB, Bhoopalwala, contracted second marriage. His first wife, Hafza Bibi, shot herself with her husband’s pistol.

She was rushed to the Gojra THQ Hospital where doctors referred her to the Faisalabad’s Allied Hospital.
