KARACHI, Jan 6: Four ships carrying urea, coal and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Golden Express, MOL Accord, to unload and load containers, Gulf Dove to offload oil, and Golden Sky to offload iron scrap were berthed.

Sailing on the other hand was active as nine vessels departed after unloading and loading cargoes. They were: Hyundai Highway, Y.M.Sun, Kuo Hung, Golden Express, Kota Wangsa, Iran Takhti, Asdrubal, Marine Champion and Ken Unity, while Gulf Dove, MOL Silver Fern, Iran Shahed, Kota Tabah, Corin Thaikos, MOL Accord and Marine Rickmers are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity on the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 88,767 tons comprising 19,451 tons of export cargo and 69,316 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Al-Maqwa, with high speed diesel, PONL Buenos Aires, with containers, Anangel Express, with 46,777 tons of urea and Sea Crown, with 36,077 tons of coal.
