Farhan clinches U-17 title

PESHAWAR, Jan 30: Top seed Farhan Mehboob of PAF clinched the Under-17 title of the 13th CAS Open Squash Championship beating Alamzeb Senior being played at PAF Squash Complex Wednesday. He won 2-9, 9-6. 6-9, 9-6. 9-6.

In the Under-15 final top seed Adil Atlas of PAF defeated Zaman of PAF 9-7, 9-7, 10-9. Although the final was decided in straight sets yet both the youngsters exhibited excellent game in the 60-minute battle.

Zahir Shah of PAF beat Aamir Atlas of PAF 10-8, 2-9, 9-1, 9-4 to clinch the under-13 final. The match lasted for 70 minutes.

In the Under-19, Imran Mohib upset top seed Safeer Khan in the semifinal to book his place in the final. Imran lost the first two games 4-9, 1-9 but won the next three 9-1, 9-2 and 9-7.

In the second semifinal Khalid Atlas was declared winner as Arshad Iqbal Burki was disqualified due misconduct with the referee.
