LAHORE, Jan 5: Fine batting by opener Adil Nisar helped Wapda earn three points on the first innings lead of 98 runs against PTCL from a drawn Patron’s Trophy Grade-I match at Sheikhupura Stadium on Thursday.

Adil struck 87 off 178-ball with nine fours and three sixes, as Wapda were 232 for six wickets in reply to PTCL’s modest 134, before the regulation time ended.

Leg-spinner Muhammad Hussain, who snared five wickets for 69, but failed to prevent Wapda from taking the first innings lead.

Earlier, leg-spinner Farooq Iqbal finished with six for 46 as PTCL were all out for 134 after resuming at 108-8.

Only 139.2 overs’ play could be possible in the four-day match which was badly hit by rains and fog.
