MUZAFFARABAD, Jan 5: The president, Earth Aid Society Japan and wife of former Indonesian president, Rata Sari Dewi Sukarno on Thursday said she was shocked by the devastation caused by the October 8 earthquake. She said this while talking to media men at the relief goods distribution ceremony at the premises of Azad Jammu and Kashmir district courts, which was badly destroyed by the earthquake.

The relief goods package, which included two jackets, two blankets, food packs containing flour, rice, spices, pulses, salt and sugar, were distributed amongst hundreds of families.

Rata Sukarno said: “I hope that the quake-hit people would soon get out of this trauma.”

The secretary, AJK Red Crescent Society, Malik Mohammad Ishaq, briefed Rata Sukarno about relief activities being carried out by the Pakistan Red Crescent Society.
