KARACHI: A 55-year-old businessman allegedly committed suicide in Defence Housing Authority bungalow on Thursday evening, said police and rescue services officials.

They added that Arshad Ansari ended his life by shooting himself in his home located on Khayaban-i-Bukhari, Phase-VI.

South-SSP Syed Asad Raza said that Arshad Ansari was a businessman. He had a dispute with someone over a plot in Saddar, which was said to be very expensive. This matter was pending in court.

The officer opined that apparently Mr Ansari ended his life because he was upset over the land dispute.
