SUKKUR: A man was killed and two others were wounded when a group of assailants opened fire on them at a tea shop within the jurisdiction of the Stuart Ganj police station in Shikarpur district on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Hajan Panhiyar, who died on the spot. The wounded victims could not be identified immediately. The area police believed that the attackers belonged to the Jaffery community, pointing out that two groups of the community had been embroiled in an old dispute for long.
