Fintech raises $1.5m in seed funding

KARACHI: Online tax-filing portal Befiler has raised $1.5 million in seed funding from international and local investors, a press release said on Wednesday.

The seed round was co-led by Cistech Capital and Lakson Venture Capital with participation from local angel investors. The fintech said it’s the country’s first startup in digital tax filing and advisory services. Its app has been downloaded over 1m times on the Google Play Store and has 460,000 users.
