M.Com student shot by dacoits

SAHIWAL, Jan 4: Dacoits shot dead an M.Com student and looted cash and valuables of over Rs0.5 million in six different strikes here on Tuesday night. Dacoits barged into a house in Chak 82/6-R and made hostage the family members. For offering resistance, the intruders opened fire on Qamar Ejaz, killing him on the spot. The outlaws later managed to escape.

Three gunmen entered the house of Mubashar Ishaq in Pak Avenue Colony, and escaped after collecting valuables worth Rs230,000.

In Chak 75/5-R, four bandits entered Irfan’s house. The bandits at pistol point scooped Rs50,000 in cash and ornaments valuing Rs15,000 and fled while firing in the air.

Two pillion riders snatched a hand bag from a woman, Kulsoom. The bag contained Rs2,000 in cash and ornaments worth Rs20,000.

Three motorcyclists went to the shop of Ayub in Goal Ghakkhar and took away cell phones valuing Rs30,000.

Two robbers deprived Jaffar Husain of his motorcycle on the southern gate of the Grain Market.
