DETROIT, Jan 4: Ford Motor Co. said on Wednesday its December US auto sales fell nine per cent, ending the month at 267,881 units. Full-year sales also were lower, falling five per cent to 3,168,156 vehicles in 2005.

Truck sales fell 10.2 per cent in December to 189,474 units, while full-year truck volumes were down eight per cent to 2,129,280 vehicles. Sales of passenger cars fell 5.8 per cent during the month to 78,407 but were up two per cent for the full year, ending at 1,038,876 vehicles.—AFP
