Kenyan tea mixed

NAIROBI, Jan 4: Kenya’s tea prices were mixed at this week’s auction, with improved quality boosting certain grades, traders said on Wednesday. Mombassa-based Africa Tea Brokers said 101,229 packages were offered, compared with 109,790 at the last auction, held on Dec 19-20 before the auction broke for Christmas and New Year holidays.

Out of the total 101,229 packages offered, 6,200 were unsold compared with 7,854 unsold at the last auction.—Reuters
