SUKKUR, Jan 30: Three people were killed and four others were injured in an armed clash between the Chachar and Sabzoi tribes in the Shaloo Chachar village, near Kandhkot, on Wednesday.

Ten armed Sabzoi tribesmen raided the village of Chachar tribesmen and opened indiscriminate fire. The latter retaliated.

During the shooting, two Chachars — Sher M. Chachar and Abdul Ghani Chachar — and a passerby, Ali Gul Mochi, were killed on the spot, while Ghulam Mustafa, Quasim, Varyam, and a woman, Subhana Sundrani, were injured.

All the injured were taken to the Taluka hospital, Kandhkot.

Police sources said that the Sabzoi and Chachar tribes had been at loggerheads since the last many years.

ARREST DEMANDED: The killers of Sadam Chand Chawala have not been arrested so far, which has triggered a sense of disappointment and frustration among the Hindu residents of Jacobabad.
