NAWABSHAH, Jan 3: District and taluka naib nazims of Nawabshah took the oath here on Tuesday. The first additional district and sessions judge, Amjad Ali Qazi, administered the oath to district naib nazim Abdul Haq Jamali at a ceremony held at the Pir Qurban Ali hall.
The second additional district and sessions judge, Masood Ahmad Korejo, administered the oath to Nawabshah taluka naib nazim Khan Bahadur Bhatti, the third additional district and sessions judge, Saleem Jan Khan, to Daulatpur taluka naib nazim Mohammad Moosa Dahiri, the senior civil judge, Mohammad Manazirul Haq, to Sakrand taluka naib nazim Ghulam Mustafa Jalalani and the senior civil judge, Mian Mohsin Raza, to Daur taluka naib nazim Mohammad Bachal Zardari at respective taluka council halls.
Speaking at the oath taking ceremony, District Nazim Faryal Talpur said the process of local body election had been completed successfully.
She said that people were facing problems of education, health and water. She gave an assurance that the problems would be resolved with the cooperation of all council members on priority basis.
She urged people to cooperate with the district government and directed district officers to perform their duties honestly.
District Naib Nazim Abdul Haq Jamali, said that there was no concept of opposition in the local government system and he would act as a neutral person for all members of the council.
MIRPURKHAS: The First Senior Civil Judge, Umerkot, Qadir Bux Lohrani, took oath of office from Kanwar Hameer Singh for the post of district Naib Nazim, Umerkot, on Tuesday.
The naib nazims of four talukas also took oath of the office.
They are Hafiz Mir Mohammad Nohri for the post of Naib Nazim Umerkot taluka, Aslam Malik for Naib Nazim Pithoro taluka,Gul Zaman Chandio for Taluka Naib Nazim Kunri and Mumtaz Ali for Taluka Naib Nazim, Samaro.
Five out of six taluka naib nazims of Mirpurkhas, took oath of their offices during the oath taking ceremonies, held on Tuesday. Dr Mohammad Hashim Bhurgari took oath for naib nazim of the Kot Ghulam Mohammad taluka, Ali Nawaz Mari for Taluka Naib Nazim, Hussain Bux Mari, Haji Hameer Dars, Taluka Naib Nazim Sindhri, Mushtaq Ahmed Qaimkhani for Taluka Naib Nazim, Jhuddo and Aftab Arain, Taluka Naib Nazim, Digri. One of the elected naib nazim Mirpurkhas taluka, Shafiq Ahmed of Haq Parast Panel did not take oath as his notification was not issued. The defeated candidate for Taluka Naib Nazim, Mirpurkhas, Malik Liaquat Ali of the ruling PML had raised objections over result of Shafiq Ahmed.
SHIKARPUR: The oath-taking ceremony of the district naib nazim was held here on Tuesday. The fifth additional sessions judge, Naseem Akhtar Shaikh, administered the oath to District Naib Nazim Taqi Abbas Kamario.
