If you love cuteness and easy DIY projects, then this is just for you — no-sew sock Santa Clause. This cute little Santa will add to the festive flare in your house and I bet not only you, but everyone from old to young will love it.

The craft is incredibly easy and really fun to do as you can easily get old or used socks, and some wool and beads from your mum or grandmother’s sewing kit.
So, let’s start:

Things you need:

  1. Two socks (one red and one white)
  2. Cotton wool or rice (to stuff the Santa)
  3. Scissors
  4. Hot glue gun
  5. White felt or foam sheet piece
  6. Some wool to make beard
  7. Three beads (one red and two black)
  8. Four rubber bands
  9. One pompom white (small size)

  1. Leave the white sock as it is, cut the bottom of the red sock diagonally from the heel area, picture 2.

  2. Fill the white sock with wool (if you don’t have wool you can use rice, but only if your mum allows you to), then tie it with two rubber bands, this is the body, picture 3.

  3. Fill the top of the sock again with some rice or wool, (this is the head) and it will be smaller than the body, secure it with two rubber bands, picture 4.

  4. Cut the extra sock from off the head, then simply dress up the body with red sock that we cut earlier, leaving the head, picture 5.

  5. To make the Santa cap, take the leftover red sock piece, glue the opened side, then paste white pompom on its narrow tip, picture 6.

  6. Put this on Santa’s head and cut one-centimetre-thick strip from the white felt, (the length of the strip depends on the size of the Santa head), picture 7.

  7. Paste this white strip on the edge of the cap, see picture 8.

  8. Take the white leftover piece of white sock (the top of a sock that is the ring), and paste it around the bottom of Santa, as shown in pictures 9 and 10.

  9. Cut one-inch curved triangle piece of felt or foam, then paste wool in the shape of beard on it, picture 11.

  10. It’s time to put all the face details on their place, as done in pictures 12 and 13.

  11. Our cute little sock Santa Clause is ready, you can make a belt from black felt and paste it around the waist.

Happy holidays!
