Two buses, rickshaw burnt

LAHORE, Jan 2: Two buses, a motorcycle-rickshaw and goods worth millions of rupees were burnt when a fire broke out in a workshop at Data Nagar, Badami Bagh, in the early hours of Monday.

According to fire brigade officials, four fire units controlled the fire after three hours of hectic efforts.

However, no loss of life was reported. The cause of the fire was stated to be a short-circuit.

In another incident, garments and machines worth thousands of rupees were reduced to ashes when a fire broke out in a garments factory on the third floor of the Madni Market, New Anarkali.

No loss of life was reported.—APP
