ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Senior Vice President Dr. Shireen Mazari urged President Dr Arif Alvi to speak against what she said human rights violations in Pakistan.

In her message in the name of President on International Human Right Day on Saturday, Dr Mazari said that he as a Head of State and Supreme Commander of Armed Forces had the freedom to at least speak against the human right violations in Pakistan.

“We look to you today on International Human Rights Day to move beyond banalities because you may be the only one left who can speak without fear of State unleashing its power against you,” she added.

Meanwhile about the treatment being meted out to PTI detained Senator Azam Swati, she raised question as to why Chief Justice of Pakistani was not taking notice of clear contempt of the Supreme Court (SC) judgment on FIRs.

She stated that even more important on the brazen violation of basic human rights and human dignity of a citizen of Pakistan and a member of Parliament too.
